Otabi Shinto ceremony
The Otabi Shinto ceremony, held on the first Sunday of October every year, was said to have started during the at Edo-era, at least 140 years ago. At the ceremony, the deity in the main hall is moved to a miniature shrine and travels 2 kilometers to the Tenman Shrine, giving thanks for a good harvest and praying for peace. The ceremony file are handed down in detail and the ceremony is registered as Kobe city important cultural property. The leader of the ceremony file, with a red face and a high nose, is the legendary God ""Sarutahiko"".
