Place of cultivation
This temple has a long history since the 6th century. It was once destroyed by a fire 150 years ago. It was revived by the teacher Nakamura about 50 years ago, and his sermon still attracts many believers all over Japan. It is said that Prince Shotoku, a great politician and Buddhism advocate around 600 AC, built the monastery as a place of cultivation. And Kobo-taishi, a great teacher of Buddhism around 800 AC, also left his footprint here.
